Our Specialty · Pelvic Floor PT

Pelvic floor care that treats the whole you.

Leaking, pressure, pelvic pain, and a postpartum core that hasn't come back are common. They're also treatable. Private, one-on-one care, built around what your body actually needs.

So much of pelvic floor trouble gets brushed off as just part of being a woman, part of having kids, part of getting older. It's common, but common isn't the same as something you have to live with.

Your pelvic floor doesn't work alone. It's part of a system with your breath, your deep core, and your hips, all managing pressure together. When one piece is off, the floor takes the hit, and you feel it as leaking, pressure, pain, or a core that won't switch on. So we assess the whole system, not just one muscle.

Treatment is hands-on and specific: manual therapy, breathing and coordination work, and the right kind of loading, whether your pelvic floor needs to learn to relax, to get stronger, or both. No guessing, no one-size-fits-all sheet of Kegels.

And it happens on your terms. Every assessment is consent-first and at your pace, in a private clinic room or your own home. The goal is simple: get you back to laughing, lifting, running, and living without thinking about your pelvic floor at all.

FAQ

Common questions.

Have a question that's a little personal? That's exactly what the free intro call is for. Reach out.

What is pelvic floor physical therapy?
The pelvic floor is the group of muscles that supports your bladder, bowel, and (for women) the uterus, and helps control continence and core pressure. When those muscles are too weak, too tight, or poorly coordinated, the result can be leaking, pain, pressure, or a core that just doesn't feel right. Pelvic floor PT assesses and retrains those muscles, in the context of your breath, hips, and whole body, so the system works the way it should.
Do I need an internal exam?
Not necessarily, and never without your consent. An internal assessment is the most direct way to evaluate the pelvic floor, but it's always your choice. Plenty of meaningful work happens externally, through breath, posture, core coordination, and hip and trunk strength. We go at your pace, every visit.
Is this just Kegels?
No. For a lot of people, more Kegels are exactly the wrong answer, because the problem is a pelvic floor that's already too tight and can't relax. The first job is figuring out what your pelvic floor actually needs: to let go, to get stronger, to coordinate with your breath, or some combination. The plan follows from that.
I had my baby a while ago. Is it too late?
It's not too late. Postpartum is forever, and the pelvic floor responds to the right training at six weeks or sixteen years out. Leaking, pressure, and a core that won't fire are common, but they are not something you have to just live with.
Where do sessions happen?
Wherever you're most comfortable: privately at our Red Bank clinic, or in your own home anywhere in Monmouth County. A full clinical hour, one-on-one, every time.
What does it cost?
We keep pricing simple and cash-pay, and we walk you through it on a free discovery call once we understand what you need. We're out-of-network and provide a detailed superbill after each visit so you can submit for reimbursement.
